I love to look through all the card sketches and finished cards at Freshly Made Sketches. Each week, they post a simple card sketch and different bloggers post their versions of it. Their cards aren’t made using Cricut machines, but the ideas are easy to recreate in Design Space. The cards in this post were inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #5.

These cards can be cut with a Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker and assembled in just a few minutes. Both cards will cut for free with a Cricut Access subscription, or the images can be purchased in Design Space. Here is the link to this project, which includes an additional white piece that can be used on the inside for writing a message.

Supplies I used

Techniques I Used

The characters on this card are images from Design Space that have been flattened to a white circle for print then cut.

The sentiments are done with a Cricut Glitter Gel Pen and the write then cut function. “Happy Narwhalidays” is the writing style of the Rosalind font. “Sending Christmas Cheer” is a drawn image from Design Space.

For the white rectangle on the front of the card, I used a couple of embossing folders with my Gemini.

I did another version with my Maker and the Debossing Tip. The snowflake pattern is from Design Space. Here is the link to that project. Patterned paper would be another great option for the background.

These cards are easy to customize with whatever tools and materials you have on hand. They are also ideal for mass producing if your card list is long! Happy crafting!
