These Christmas countdown cards are so much fun to make for little ones! Gemma from Digital Gems has designed four of these insert cards that are quick and easy to assemble.

You can purchase the designs in a bundle or individually from Digital Gems on Design Bundles. I made two of them with my Maker for my youngest nieces.

Preparing to Cut

When uploading the file to Design Space, choose the folder for the machine you are using – either the Explore and Maker folder or the Cricut Joy folder.
Gemma includes great instructions in the listing on Design Bundles for preparing your project to cut once you have uploaded it to Design Space.

Snowman Christmas Countdown Insert Card
On the snowman card, I used Duplicate and Contour to separate the holly leaves from the rest of the drawn image. I changed the color of the pen for the leaves to green. I added some red gems for the berries. These are optional steps, but they can really add to the look of the project.
Gingerbread Man Christmas Countdown Insert Card
I used Contour to hide the eye cut outs on the gingerbread man. I put googly eyes on instead. I used brads for the buttons. The top and bottom brads just go through the top two layers. The middle brad goes all the way through and is the one around which the piece spins. I put just a little bit of Art Glitter Glue underneath the feat to keep the gingerbread man in place on the circle.
