One of the most often-heard phrases around our house is “Hey Dad!” I sometimes hear, “Hey Dad! I mean, Mom!” I decided to incorporate this into a Father’s Day card.
Here’s the link to the Design Space project: https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/60b183bd823e850ec83c4c00.
Supplies I used:
- Cardstock
- Foil Cardstock
- Adhesive Vinyl
- Cricut Pen (Silver)
- Painter’s Tape or Transfer Tape
- Double-Sided E-Z Runner Grand Adhesive Dispenser
- Glue Dots
- 3D Foam Squares
Assembly Tips

I used adhesive vinyl for the “You’re My Hero” image. I transferred it with painter’s tape, but it probably would have been easier to position with closely trimmed transfer tape. Because the transfer tape can damage cardstock, I try not to let the transfer tape stick too much to the cardstock, and I just burnish lightly over the vinyl itself. This layer could be done with cardstock, but there are a few tiny pieces to manage.
Pulling straight back on the painter’s tape will help the smaller pieces to transfer.

I added a draw/write then cut sentiment on the inside, but you could delete it and add your own.
I used some foam squares under the vertical text. I added an envelope to the Design Space file.
