Cricut releases calendar designs every year, and this year there are three different versions that easy to make and free to cut without a Cricut Access subscription. I chose the Floral Calendar and sized it down to make with the Cricut Joy. It can also be cut with a Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker.

Tips and Tricks

I made each calendar page four inches wide to fit on the Cricut Joy mat. The length doesn’t matter since it’s going to get cut by the machine.

If you have the 12″ mat, two pages of the same color can be combined on to one mat by selecting the larger mat on the Prepare screen.

You can personalize this project by mixing up the pen and cardstock color combinations. I made all the numbers on the calendar black and used different accent colors on other parts of the calendars. A quick tip – if you have textured cardstock, put it down on the mat with the smooth side facing up to get the best results with the pens.

Crayola Washable Pip-Squeaks Skinnies Markers will fit in the Joy without an adapter. I used the yellow one from this set on a couple of the calendar pages.
The days of the week letters are quite small, and so you will need a sticky green mat and a sharp blade. I probably should have changed the blade before I started this project. There are some letters that are a little ragged, but this is just for my desk.

I’m displaying this calendar using a plastic easel, but it could also be put in a frame or stuck to a bulletin board or refrigerator.
Here’s the entire calendar Design Space project.
