I tackled the new Give Thanks card from Dreaming Tree this weekend. It’s really an impressive card that looks great on a mantle or table, but it’s still easy to mail.
I used a piece of plaid cardstock from the new Echo Park Celebrate Autumn collection. It has such rich colors and beautiful prints. I used it on another Thanksgiving card recently that was a Ready to Make project in Design Space. I just wish I had time to make more things with this cardstock collection!

I followed along with Leo’s assembly video, which was really helpful in getting all the pieces together in the right order. I didn’t have any black cord like he used for the bows, and I’m hopeless when it comes to tying bows, and so I found a little bow in Design Space to cut out of black cardstock. If there is something in a project I don’t like or don’t want, I can nearly always find something to add or substitute in Design Space. It’s one of my favorite things about having a Cricut Access subscription.

I used a Sizzix embossing folder on two of the blue panels. The blue cardstock is Bazzill Candy Buttons, and I just love this shade of blue. It is heavy weight cardstock, and I had to cut it on the poster board setting, but it embossed beautifully. I did ink it very lightly around the edges.
The red layer on the turkey is embossed using a Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. The eyes are little black rhinestones, and I drew the eyebrows on by hand.

Thanks for looking! Happy crafting!
