Free 2021 Calendar Project – Cricut Joy Compatible

Every year, Cricut releases a calendar design that is free to cut for all Design Space users. The design for 2021 uses inserts and is easy to resize and cut on the Cricut Joy. It can also be cut with a Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker.

Supplies I used:

I made each calendar page four inches wide to fit on the Cricut Joy mat. The length doesn’t matter since it’s going to get cut by the machine.

You can personalize this project by mixing up the pen and cardstock color combinations. A quick tip – if you have textured cardstock, put it down on the mat with the smooth side facing up to get the best results with the pens.

The days of the week letters are quite small, and so you will need a sticky green mat and a sharp blade. I discovered pretty quickly that I needed to change my blade. The page on the right is my result after changing my blade.

I’m displaying this calendar using a plastic easel, but it could also be put in a frame or stuck to a bulletin board or refrigerator.

In case you have a slower device or connection, I split the project into two Design Space files:

  1. Thanks Lydia for always being prepared to share your amazing projects. Just wondering – I live in Australia and so our seasons are the opposite to those on these cards. Can I ungroup them and change things in Design Space to suit our seasons/months?

    1. Yes, you can ungroup and detach. You will need to use the contour function to hide the cuts and drawn images that you don’t want. Then, you can use your own images.
