The Color Sync Panel is a great tool that can be used to change image colors quickly or to combine colors in a project. Sometimes a project has lots of different colors, and I want to simplify it a bit. For example, I might not have four different shades of green on hand, or if I’m pressed for time, I may want to reduce the number of mats I need to cut.
Another situation where the Color Sync panel is very handy happens when I have ungrouped text and then decide to change the color. When text is ungrouped, each letter becomes a separate image. So, instead of changing the color of each letter individually, I can change one letter and use the Color Sync panel to move the other letters to the new color.
Occasionally, images will appear to be the same color, when they really aren’t. In this project, it looks like the body of the llama is black like the words, but when I look at the Color Sync panel, it’s actually a different color.
When I go back to the layers panel and look at the color codes, I can see that the color is slightly different.
I can fix this by going back to the Color Sync panel and combining the layers.
